Relatively new nation on the international rugby stage, Canada is growing in reputation every year. The rugby season in the eastern states runs from late April until early November. In the west it is played from September to April.
Canada is also a popular destination for women’s sport, especially ladies’ football which is played to a high standard throughout the country.
Cricket, football, hockey and netball are all played during the summer months so a combined tour is certainly a possibility.
Tours to Canada either head west to British Colombia or east to Ontario and Quebec. In the west, teams tend to play their fixtures in Calgary, Edmonton & Vancouver and tour the spectacular scenery of the rugged Pacific Coast, the Rocky Mountains and National Parks of Banff and Jasper. If you time things right, you can even take in the Calgary Stampede!
In the east, a tour takes you around the vibrant cities of Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec and incorporates a trip to the fantastic Niagara Falls.
