The West Indies, without doubt, has been the home of some of the greatest cricketers of our time, with the most well known from Barbados being the great Sir Garfield Sobers. He has left a cricketing legacy on the island with the Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools Tournament which takes place every July. You will be sure to play very high quality cricket at this tournament.
Cricket isn’t the only sport played in Barbados though. Netball, hockey & rugby, volleyball & basketball are played at varying levels, by a wide range of ages, and you will be sure to find some great competition. Rugby is also played in Barbados, with the home of Barbados Rugby Football Union being found at the historic site of the Garrison Savannah – also famous for horse racing.
