Situated off the southern tip of India, Sri Lanka is an ever popular destination with our touring groups. It’s an enchanting mix of eastern culture, western influence, race, religion, exciting cuisine and stunning scenery. It has a warm and inviting climate and there is plenty of opportunity to relax between games on its miles of white sandy beaches.
The hotels are superb and represent real value for money. Sightseeing too is interesting and varied – take time to visit majestic temples, spice gardens, hill country, tea plantations & the local wildlife. For the more adventurous you can ride elephants, go on jungle safaris or try white water rafting
For those schools that wish to get involved with a charity project whilst on tour to Sri Lanka we can propose several interesting options. Following the Tsunami in 2004 touring sides in Sri Lanka can help with rebuilding the schools, playgrounds and communities devastated by the disaster.
The sport is strong enough for most and the Sri Lankans are cricket crazy. Along with cricket you can also tour with rugby, football, hockey and netball. Cricket, netball and hockey are possible all year round with April-September the best time to consider a rugby or football tour.
RICK SELLERS, Bristol Grammar School, Rugby & Hockey Tour to Sri Lanka & Malaysia, July 2018
Carrie this was an excellent trip and I would like to thank you on behalf of the school and the 82 people that travelled for creating a busy, challenging, adventurous and life changing experience. I could not fault the level of care and attention that had been exercised to make the trip successful and I have no doubt that it will have enriched the lives of the students who were fortunate enough to be tour. Thank you- a perfect way for me to sign off.”.
SIMON SUTCLIFFE – Merchant Taylors Crosby, Cricket tour to Sri Lanka October 2017
Overall a very worthwhile trip. Grounds were excellent. Great for the boys to play on two test match venues and other nice venues. The boys really enjoyed it and the parents who came with us all gave me positive feedback. ” .
CHRIS JOHNSON – King Edward’s School Birmingham Rugby & Hockey Tour to India & Sri Lanka July 2017
We had a wonderful time and will be recommending the tour and LWTL to other schools on our circuit. The LWTL representatives in Sri Lanka were outstanding and could not have been more helpful they made the tour for us! The Indian fixtures were wonderful and the hosts couldn’t have done more to make the fixtures run smoothly or help us in any way. They were so pleased to be playing us and are desperate for more school rugby tours. For a school on our circuit and level (mid range ability) the matches were competitive and very worthwhile..
MR J KENNEDY, Methodist College Belfast, Sri Lanka Tour April 2017.
Just a quick note to say a massive thank you for all your hard work in organising our tour. This was the school’s first overseas cricket tour and so it was very important that it ran smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble for you and the itinerary that you put in place for us was excellent. I have already done so and will have no hesitation again in the future recommending LWTL to anyone. If there is anything I can ever do for you please do not hesitate to ask (particularly if it includes a visit to Sri Lanka!!)
JAMES WINDEATT, Hull Collegiate School, Sri Lanka Tour July 2016.
This has to go down as the best Sports Tour that the school has ran; not only were fixtures competitive across the board in the five sports that were played, but the life experiences and memories that will remain with the 47 tourists and five members of staff were worth every penny spent. The highlights for the pupils were the Elephant Orphanage, Turtle Sanctuary – especially releasing some babies back into the ocean and the Rainbow Centre.”
JACKIE ATKINSON, Newcastle High School for Girls – Hockey & Netball tour to Sri Lanka, July 2016
LWTL provided a first class professional service for our 2016 hockey and netball tour to Sri Lanka. Communication was clear and punctual ensuring that we remained on top of all the pre tour administration. The ground agents in Sri Lanka were excellent and support when a player was injured was first class. A varied and interesting itinerary was tailored to our requirements with first class accommodation at a very competitive price. A great tour reflecting the attention to detail that LWTL are prepared to offer.

Thanks Jo for everything you did this end – I’m sure everyone will tell you how fantastic and successful the whole trip was (we even managed a few wins and given the standard of cricket over there and the climate, this was a fabulous achievement for our players!!).
