Thursday 24th December
DURBAN
Welcome! You will be met by your LWTL representative at the airport and transferred to the Garden Court Marine Parade for a seven night stay on a bed & breakfast basis. Rest of day free to settle in. In the evening, get into the Christmas spirit at our welcome drinks in the hotel bar.
Friday 25th December
CHRISTMAS DAY
Join us for our optional Christmas Day function in the sunshine. There will be a distinct African theme to this festive day spent in the company of fellow cricket supporters.
Sat 26th – Wed 30th December
TEST MATCH 2 : SOUTH AFRICA v ENGLAND
Daily transfers to/from Sahara Stadium, Kingsmead for the ever popular “Boxing Day” test match which has hosted some nail biting tests in recent history
Thursday 31st December
NEW YEARS EVE CAPE TOWN
Transfer to Durban Airport for the flight to Cape Town (1h50m) and on arrival transfer to the City Lodge Waterfront for an eight night stay on a bed & breakfast basis. Afternoon at leisure in Cape Town, before setting off to our optional LWTL New Year’s Eve party in the winelands.
Friday 1st January
NEW YEARS DAY
Day at leisure in Cape Town to relax and recover from the New Year’s Eve festivities. Join us on an afternoon’s Table Mountain & City sightseeing tour, go for a walk around the V&A Waterfront or take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain to enjoy the amazing views of Table Bay, Robben Island and beyond.
Saturday 2nd January
At leisure, or may we suggest a trip to Robben Island or Cape Point via Boulders beach and the penguins. See EXCURSIONS. We also recommend a trip to Cape Towns world famous wine region.
Sunday 3rd – Thursday 7th January
TEST MATCH 3: SOUTH AFRICA v ENGLAND
Daily transfers to/from Sahara Park Newlands, one of the world’s most picturesque cricket grounds.
Friday 8th January
Enjoy your final day in South Africa before transferring to the airport for your international flight back to the UK. Alternatively depart on our post-tour safari to spot the ‘Big Five’. See TOUR EXTENSIONS.
Saturday 9th January
Arrive home in the UK
