 Welcome to Living With The Lions Sports Travel, the small and friendly group tour operator. I started the company six years ago because as a sporting tourist (playing and supporting), I saw an opportunity for a niche company like ourselves to organise highly personalised group holidays to sporting events around the world. I have always loved touring and I have been fortunate enough to play cricket in South Africa, Antigua, Sri Lanka, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
Whilst we have quite literally made our name organising memorable supporters’ tours to Australia and New Zealand following the British Lions, this is now only a small part of what we do. More and more we are finding that our customers require tailor made trips, whether it be to the Ashes, Hong Kong Sevens or the Ryder Cup. There has also been a noticeable increase in the number of playing tours overseas, particularly of school sides, taking advantage of the hospitality of sporting adversaries keen to welcome them onto their shores.
The growth in tours to South Africa in particular has been phenomenal, indeed your team may have already played there. If you have not, you will find there a wide array of school and college sides always ready for a game while the costs remain extremely reasonable. Off the field there is plenty to see and do and the climate and facilities can only encourage sporting improvement. A tour such as this broadens an education in a way that cannot be replicated in the class room, creating bonds between team-mates likely to last a lifetime.
