The British and Irish Lions is to most people, the ultimate team. It epitomises what touring is all about; four international sides are blended to create one stronger union during a period of just a few weeks spent overseas. The relationships formed both on and off the pitch become the heart of the side, and the resulting team becomes stronger as a whole than its constituent parts. For most professional rugby players, becoming a Lion is the greatest achievement - with perhaps the exception of winning the World Cup. For the coaches, the challenge is even greater: To take the hard work from the training ground on through to match day, managing players’ expectations, injuries and disappointments and to create an environment where the team will flourish and achieve its goals.
Our aim at Living with the Lions is to help you to create this environment, to take the organisation and administration off your hands, so that you can concentrate on developing your young players. For the development of any child’s sports ambitions, joining their friends on a school sports tour will probably be among the most exciting experiences of their young lives.
As sports enthusiasts, we genuinely enjoy organising itineraries to suit the requirements of each individual team. We understand the elements which make a great school tour – challenging fixtures, attention to detail, quality accommodation and travel, and above all safety.
