ARGENTINA & CHILE - SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1 - IN FLIGHT
Depart Heathrow for Santiago.

Day 2 - SANTIAGO
On arrival at Santiago you will be met and transferred to your hotel for four nights.  Remainder of the day at leisure in Chile’s bustling & cosmopolitan capital. Explore the city’s diverse neighborhoods (or ‘barrios’) take in the beautiful architecture or explore the shops in the main boulevard, the Alameda.

Day 3 - SANTIAGO
Morning at leisure.
Match 1 v local school/club. Aftermatch function.  

Day 4 - SANTIAGO
Recover from the game with a light training session in one of the city’s parks and then take a trip by cable car up to San Cristóbal Hill for panaromic views of Santiago city and the mountains on a clear day. Alternatively depart on a day trip across to the Chilean Andes for a day’s skiing/snowboarding.

Day 5 - SANTIAGO
Morning at leisure.
Match 2 v local school/club. Aftermatch function.  

Day 6 - VINA DEL MAR
This morning transfer to Via del Mar 75m NW of Santiago on the Pacific coast for a few days relaxing by the beach. Known as ‘The Garden City’ it’s fashionable feel and golden beaches make it a very pleasant place to visit and explore.  Play some touch rugby on the beach this afternoon or take a horse drawn carriage around the city centre before checking into your hotel for a two night stay.

Day 7 - VINA DEL MAR
Morning at leisure on the beach before transferring to the match.
Match  3 v local club. Aftermatch function.  

Day 8 - BUENOS AIRES
Today leave Chile behind and fly to the Argentinean capital, Buenos Aires. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. This energetic city has a distinctively European feel and is known as the ‘Paris of South America’ for its elegant design and café culture.

Day 9 - BUENOS AIRES
This morning take a half day city tour taking in the cemetaries at Recoleta - home to the infamous Eva Peron, downtown Buenos Aires and Boca Juniors' stadium followed maybe by a scenic coastline train trip along the shores of the Rio de la Plata. This evening enjoy a meal and Tango show, an enthralling evening of Argentinean music and dance. 

Day 10 - BUENOS AIRES
Morning at leisure before transferring to your first game in Argentina. Being such a sport mad nation, you will be hard pushed to find more exuberant hosts, both on and off the pitch
Match  4 v local club/school. Aftermatch function.  

Day 11 - ROSARIO
Today transfer to your hotel in Rosario, Argentina’s third largest city situated 3 hrs drive from Buenos Aires on the banks of the Parana River.  On the way maybe visit ‘Gaucho’s land for a true ranch experience where you can ride a horse and learn about the life of an Argentine gaucho and his farming traditions, as well as sample some superb country cuisine. Accommodation for three nights in a hotel.

Day 12 - ROSARIO
Match  5 v local club/school. Aftermatch function

Day 13 - ROSARIO
A full day river kayaking on the Parana River, one of the fastest flowing rivers in the world. The River is dotted with small islands and beaches offering  welcome rest along the way.

Day 14 - IGUAZU
This morning fly to Iguazu for a two night stay to see one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world.  Standing on the border between Argentina and Brazil, this natural wonder stretches over two and a half miles and is a must see attraction for visitors to Argentina. As big as three Niagara Falls, Iguazu is split into 270 cascades.

Day 15 - IGUAZU
A full day at the falls to include a walk, jetboat ride on white water to the base of the Falls and a nature trail through the forest. You will also have the opportunity to cross the border to see the Falls from the Brazilian side.

DAY 16 - BUENOS AIRES
Today fly back to Buenos Aires and check in for your final two nights in this cosmopolitan city.

DAY 17 - BUENOS AIRES
Match  6 v local club/school. Aftermatch function

DAY 18 - IN FLIGHT
Catch up with some last minute shopping at the Florida Street shopping area before transferring out to the airport for your flight home.

DAY 19 - LONDON
Arrive back in the UK.
