JOHN BENTLEY
Living With The Lions Tours 2013 bentos(born 5 September 1966) is an English former rugby league and rugby union wing three quarter. He is also known as ‘Bentos’. Originally a union player, he made his England debut against Ireland in 1988 aged 21 and played on the summer tour against Australia. He played for Great Britain at league and signed for Leeds RLFC, before moving on to Halifax RLFC (later the Blue Sox) as well as enjoying a short spell in Australia with Balmain. When union turned professional he signed to union side Newcastle Falcons in 1996, helping the side to their first and so far only Premiership title. He was then selected for the 1997 British Lions tour of South Africa, where he played in the second Test against James Small. Famously Small refused to shake Bentley’s hand after the game! After the tour he played twice more for England at rugby union before switching back to rugby league with Huddersfield Giants. He is an Honorary President of the rugby charity Wooden Spoon improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Britain and Ireland. He is delighted to be coming on his third tour with LWTL.

ROBERT JONES
Living With The Lions Tours 2013 robertjones(born 10 November 1965 Trebanos, Wales) is a former Welsh rugby union footballer and a rugby coach. He was capped 54 times for Wales during his career, at that time a record. Jones attracted widespread admiration during his playing career for his invention and the quality of his passing, which was often referred to by pundits as the best in the world. In addition the accuracy of his box-kicking from the base of the scrum or line-out was a potent weapon, used to best effect during Wales’ 1989 victory over England at Cardiff Arms Park, and the subsequent Lions tour to Australia. His attractive style of play earned him many invitations to play for the Barbarians in addition to his club and international selections. In 1989 Jones was part of the victorious British and Irish Lions tour to Australia, enjoying some memorable confrontations with the Wallabies’ scrum half Nick Farr-Jones. In 1993 he toured New Zealand with the British Lions. Jones retired from international rugby after the 1995 World Cup in South Africa, and from all rugby in 2001.
