Brett Lee, paceman of Australia looks forward to overcoming his ankle surgery as he plans to return as a better bowler. The metatarsal bone in Lee’s foot was hurt last month while he was bowling against South Africa in the second test match of their cricket tour. A surgery on his ankle was carried out in an attempt to fix the injury.

Displaying his confidence of a return, Lee stated that he had been through four surgeries on his ankle and was looking forward to the challenge of getting back to the team. He said that he wanted to contribute to as many years of cricket as was possible.

Missing the upcoming three-game test series of their cricket tour to South Africa comes as an opportunity of rest to Lee so that he could get back to the team as one of the most menacing opening bowlers in the world.

Speaking about his fitness, Brett Lee said that this break would let him get away from cricket and spend his time on working on his fitness so that he could get his body back to shape. He added that things happened for a reason and he was welcome to the challenge of getting fit again. This cricket tour is being awaited by many all over the world.
